Alter Equity invests in European startups driving the transition to a more inclusive and sustainable economy. They focus on companies with a strong positive impact on the environment (e.g., energy efficiency, circular economy, recycling, biodiversity preservation) and/or on people (e.g., education, employment, health, fair trade). They seek companies committed to a Business Plan that integrates social, environmental, and societal considerations. They provide minority or majority investments, alone or in co-investment, between 4 and 20 million euros. Their investment philosophy revolves around supporting businesses that align with the 'People, Planet, Profit' framework. They aim to achieve significant environmental impact, as demonstrated by their portfolio companies having avoided 8.9 million tons of CO2 emissions. Furthermore, they are committed to gender equality, with a higher-than-average representation of women-led companies in their portfolio. They also seek a strong potential for profitable growth in ambitious projects that implement Tech for Good. Alter Equity invests in technology startups and breakthrough innovation projects. They invest in European companies with a turnover greater than 1 million euros and a potential for profitable growth. They invest in both minority and majority positions, alone or in co-investment. They emphasize investments that contribute to positive social and environmental change while generating financial returns.
