Jos Keurentjes is a Dutch scientist and innovation leader. He is currently the Interim Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Previously, he was Programme Director for Energy Innovation at the University of Twente, where he established the Centre for Energy Innovation (CEI) and led interdisciplinary research programs focused on hydrogen, battery systems, and digital energy. From 2014 to 2019, he served as Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Board member at TNO, leading large-scale collaborations between government, academia, and industry through Joint Innovation Centers. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at AkzoNobel, including Executive Vice President of Industrial Chemicals and Corporate Director of Technology & Open Innovation. Keurentjes began his academic career as a full professor at TU/e and remains affiliated with the university. He is also co-founder of the cleantech startups Ventinova and CarbonOrO and is actively involved in several national initiatives on circular economy and chemical recycling.
