Gürcan Ozan

About

Gürcan Ozan is a technologist with over 18 years of experience in the technology and innovation space. Previously, he was at Hexagon Studio, a premier engineering-design company in Turkey, where he managed R&D and technology development projects across the automotive, defense, and manufacturing industries. He was also an active member of EU technology associations, conducting joint innovation projects in ICT, transport, and manufacturing. Prior to Hexagon Studio, Gürcan spent over 12 years at TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), assisting over 2,000 researchers, firms, startups, and R&D centers in funding and partnerships. He conducted over 300 technology evaluations & assessments and secured over EUR 50mn of funding for innovation projects. He is a jury member at EIC Accelerator and EU Prize for Women Innovators. Gürcan holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an M.S. degree, and pursued doctoral studies in science and technology policy at Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
