Scarlett Chen is a healthtech investor focused on digitizing and humanizing healthcare. She has invested in 13 healthtech startups and actively helps them scale. Previously, as Managing Director at Prudential Corporation Asia, Scarlett was responsible for strategic investments, investing in multiple early-stage healthtech startups that achieved unicorn and near-unicorn valuations. She also founded and led a new healthtech business for Prudential. Earlier in her career, Scarlett was the Global Head of Financial Institutions Group at Anbang Capital, leading investments in Europe and Asia. Before joining the buy-side, she worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch in the US and Barclays in Hong Kong, executing over US$30 billion in capital markets and advisory transactions. Scarlett received her Masters in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in Computer Science from SUNY Stony Brook.
