Moaffak Ahmed has a background in the financial technology industry. In 1992, he co-founded Trema, where he held various business roles until its successful exit in 2004. Following a sabbatical, he began advising, serving as a board member, and angel investing in startups. Since 2007, he has been involved with game companies, including being the first investor in Next Games. Moaffak also founded the Veturi Venture Accelerator and Superhero Capital, achieving multiple successful exits. He significantly contributed to the Finnish startup ecosystem by co-founding the Startup Foundation, which supports initiatives like Slush, Junction, The Shortcut, Wave Ventures, and Maria 01. In 2014, he co-founded Sisu Game Ventures. Since 2019, Moaffak has been spearheading Cooler Future, a company combining fintech and sustainability.
