Nikolas Samios is a serial entrepreneur, long-time expert for transformational startups and venture capital, and an early sustainability advocate. He founded his first company around 25 years ago while still in school, focusing on helping traditional industries digitize their businesses. Over the past 15 years, he has concentrated on financing, buying, and selling startups, establishing a family office to manage investments for internet entrepreneurs and venture capital investors, including those of MP3 inventor Prof. Karlheinz Brandenburg and AOL Europe founder Jan Henric Buettner. Having participated in over 100 venture capital transactions and co-authored the German reference book on venture capital methodology DEALTERMS.VC, he co-founded PropTech1 Ventures. He is also the Co-Chairman of the PropTech platform of the German real estate association ZIA, Deputy Chairman of the Young Digital Economy Advisory Board to German federal minister Robert Habeck, and a member of committees for industry awards and events. Nikolas lives in Berlin with his family, supports sustainable transformation NGOs, and is a member of Leaders for Climate Action. He was awarded “Head of the Year 2023” by Immobilienmanager magazine.
