Andreas von Blottnitz

Andreas von Blottnitz, along with his business partner Jan Henric Buettner, developed BV Capital / e.ventures (now Headline) into a globally recognized venture capital firm. This followed his role in founding AOL Europe and becoming Managing Director of AOL Germany in 1997, which resulted in an exit worth approximately $10 billion. As a serial entrepreneur, he served as President and CEO of Expertcity, leading to an exit to Citrix Systems for $225 million. Since 2007, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AppFolio, a software company that went public on NASDAQ under his guidance. Andreas von Blottnitz is also an experienced venture capital investor, holding board and advisory board positions in numerous technology startups, including Sonos and Speakeasy.
