Giuliana Mattiazzo

Giuliana Mattiazzo is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino. She also serves as Vice Rector for Technology Transfer, Chairman of the Patent Committee, and Chairman of the Spin Off Committee at the same university. For approximately fifteen years, she has coordinated an interdisciplinary research group, MORE – Marine Offshore Renewable Energy, focusing on the analysis and development of systems for energy production from renewable sources, particularly off-shore wind and marine energy systems. Professor Mattiazzo is also a founding partner of Wave for Energy s.r.l., a spin-off of the Politecnico di Torino, established in 2010, developing technology for producing energy from sea waves. She served as chairman of the board of directors until 2015, overseeing technical, organizational, and resource procurement aspects.
