Giancarlo Addario is a Strategic Advisor at Five Seasons Ventures, having joined the fund in February 2018. Before joining Five Seasons Ventures, Giancarlo spent over 20 years at Barilla, a leading pasta and bakery goods company, where he held various roles from Quality Assurance/Food Safety to Research & Development across several product categories in Italy and internationally. In Open Innovation, he led collaborative projects with research institutes, enterprises, and startups globally, and mentored food accelerators and incubation programs such as StartupbootcampFoodTech, MassChallenge, H-Farm, and Future Food Accelerator. Giancarlo holds a BSc in Food Science and Technology and a Masters in Total Quality Management.
