Claire Thorne is a Venture Partner for Education at Deep Science Ventures, where she is developing a new type of PhD program called the Venture Science Doctorate. She also serves as Co-CEO of Tech She Can, a charity focused on increasing the number of women in tech. Claire's background is in innovation and commercialization within research-intensive environments. She has led multi-million pound acquisitions, such as iKinema by Apple, developed the vision and strategy for Imperial College London’s White City innovation district, and operated the #1 global university business incubator. She holds a Masters in Physics from Warwick and a PhD in Experimental Astroparticle Physics from Imperial.
