Stefan joined Biomed in 2010 as the new Group CFO, bringing a strong financial and scientific background. Before Biomed, he was a Manager at Helbling Corporate Finance, focusing on turnaround-/interim-CFO engagements and merger & acquisition transactions in the medical technology, healthcare, and mechanical engineering sectors. Prior to that, Stefan worked for over four years at Ernst & Young in Basel, ultimately as an Advisory and Audit Manager, serving mainly Biotech and Life Science companies, including startups and large multi-national corporations. He began his career as an Assistant at UBS Asset Management in Zurich, preparing investment analysis for healthcare companies. Stefan holds a Master degree in Biology from the University of Zurich, a second Master degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), and a degree as a certified auditor (CPA).
