Shiva Shanker is a Partner at Ankur Capital. He began investing in India’s early-stage startups in 2010 and has worked closely with over 20 such companies. Since joining Ankur Capital in 2017, Shiva has led climate-focused investments, facilitates debt partnerships for portfolio companies, develops the firm’s analytical models, and mentors junior investors. Prior to Ankur Capital, Shiva spent five years at Grassroots Business Fund, where his investees included Jaipur Rugs and Industree Crafts, which was acquired by Future Group. He also served as Head of Revenue at TARAurja, a technology-enabled energy services and utility startup in tier 3 and tier 4 India.
